“Suturando Una Vida” means suturing a life when translated literally into English. This is made evident in the format of the book which is as if it itself were being sutured. After every five poems you’ll find a haiku (a natural suture) that provides the reader with a place to rest throughout the book, just as one does in real life with each small moment. There are many themes explored in this book, from love, social, to philosophical ones but are written in a very sincere and cohesive and for the most part free verse manner.
