Joseph L. Licari

Joseph L. Licari (Joe) is a children’s book author from Saint James, Long Island who frequently conducts author visits and reading workshops at elementary schools, libraries, and various community venues.  He is also a music instructor for Guitar Center where he teaches guitar and piano to students of all ages.  Through engaging humor, charming illustrations and infectious rhymes, Joe’s children’s books both entertain and teach young readers while building their vocabulary and literacy skills:

Joe holds an MBA from Hofstra University and a B.S. from Stony Brook University. He is an active member of several writing and critique groups, including Long Island Authors, Long Island Children’s Writers and Illustrators (LICWI), and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). When not immersed in writing or teaching, Joe enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing golf, staying active, and contributing to his local church and community.
