Andrea Ryan

Since childhood, Andrea Ryan’s favorite pastimes were reading and writing her own poetry and short stories. The local public library was her absolute favorite place to go. So it wasn’t surprising when she received her Master’s Degree in Library Science and became a children’s librarian. Over the years, she has worked in several different libraries in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Her favorite books to read during children’s story times were full of color, catchy rhymes, and fun, creative ideas that kids could relate to or stretch their imaginations. The several books she has self-published reflect that same style.

Residing on Long Island, Andrea is a pastor’s wife and a mom to three grown children whom she homeschooled. Her husband, Jim, oversees a local ministry where Andrea was blessed to run a Saturday program for young children in challenged communities for several years.

Even though her schedule is busy with serving in ministry, teaching piano, spending quality time with her family, and running a busy household, Andrea still finds time to read and write stories of her own.
