Irvina Lew is an author and award-winning freelance food, spa, and travel writer, whose byline has appeared in the New York Times, Newsday, Conde Nast Traveler plus a multitude of magazines, websites and books. After more than thirty years teaching French in Brentwood Long Island, she retired to devote her time to freelance travel writing. Her new culinary travelogue, Forays in France: A Flavorful Memoir, Penataquit Press 2025, shares deliciously engaging anecdotes about Paris, the Riviera and Wine Regions since she was a 19-year-old student at the Sorbonne until her recent return, more than six decades later, in 2025. The Francophile is a musical theater fan who practices French conversation on Zoom, gardens, and serves favorite French dishes at her Bay Shore, Long Island home.
